V Surya Prakash or SP (Jagapathi Babu) is a woman hater and a chronic bachelor. His hatred towards women in general is told in a flashback that happened when he was a teenager. He had a childhood sweetheart Bhavani (Ramya Krishnan) to whom his marriage was fixed. But in a turn of events an uncle of Bhavani conspires and kills her father and the blame is put on Surya Prakash's father. Bhavani takes revenge on SP by taking over all his wealth and she later marries the same uncle's son. Years later SP become a business tycoon and sponsor of his half sister Sandhya (Nikitha). She is the apple of SP's eye and he puts her up in a house near by as a paying guest.
